Parra for Pendleton Woolen Mills
Curated by Arkitip
Acting as curator, for our second offering, Arkitip has chosen artist Parra for the series of artistically driven products for Pendleton Woolen Mills.
Pieter Janssen (Parra) was born in the Netherlands in 1976. He has exhibited his prints, drawings, and sculptures around the world; recent venues include HVW8, Los Angeles; Common Gallery, Tokyo; Project Space, Los Angeles; Pool Gallery, Milan; Patricia Armocida Gallery, Milan; and Lazy Dog Gallery, Paris. He cofounded the apparel company Rockwell Clothing, and performs in the band Le Le. Parra lives and works in Amsterdam.
"Being a fan of the issues and artists that Arkitip published before every collaborating with them, I could always appreciate how they match artists to top quality products. Now after working with them for many years in various ways, this Pendleton blanket is another perfect example."
Since bringing Pendleton to Europe in 2008 and after working with Arkitip on various projects, products and exhibitions, MAGNUS introduced the idea of both brands collaborating on a series of artistically driven products.
